How to Find Items & Claim Rewards

Read acquisition labels, trace crafting ingredients, and distinguish in-game loot from account and campaign rewards.

Reviewed October 4, 2026 · Remastered 5.x

Start with the item page

Search by displayed name or item ID. Check its acquisition section before planning a farming route: an item may be crafted, sold, found in loot definitions or tied to an external reward.

An item ID tells you which item a console command references. It does not establish that a merchant always stocks it, that it is obtainable in your current quest state, or that you have a campaign entitlement.

Crafting and merchant stock

For craftable equipment, find the matching diagram, gather ingredients and visit a craftsman with the required skill. Use the alchemy calculator for supported potion, oil, bomb and mutagen recipes. Some products have alternative recipes; check the detail page when your ingredient list differs.

Compare a merchant’s actual stock and price. Level, progression and refreshes can affect availability. A general merchant label is not a promise of a named shop location.

Quest rewards and missable items

Where a specific quest source has been checked, the item page includes directions and a link to the quest. The quest page links back to those items. Open the optional story-spoiler steps when a reward depends on an ending choice.

Loot-table evidence is separate from those directions. Expand it to see the source types and whether the records come from regular-game, New Game+ or shared reward definitions. A table entry alone does not confirm an exact location or a guaranteed drop.

Carrying equipment into New Game+

Some equipment has a separate carryover version. Keep the original in your inventory when starting New Game+; the game converts it automatically. Item pages link both ways between the original and its carried-over version.

Use the original item page to find out how to obtain it before the transfer. Carried-over Witcher gear and newly crafted legendary gear have separate item records; check the linked version and its recipes before gathering materials.

Gwent rewards

Reviewed card routes appear on both Gwent and inventory-item pages, with links to the related quest. Check optional tournament deadlines and reward choices before advancing a quest. In A Dangerous Game, choose the cards as payment to keep the three recovered cards.

Account and ownership rewards

Connect your game to a CD PROJEKT RED account through your platform’s rewards flow. Redeemed inventory rewards are collected at the Royal Palace in Vizima; Yennefer’s letter provides directions.

Scarlet Crest equipment is an account reward. The Cyberpunk 2077 ownership extras have separate eligibility: collect the mask in Vizima and access the Rabble-Rouser style at a barber after redemption. Check the official rewards page for your platform.

Campaigns and expired promotions

Check the item’s campaign link for dates, account-linking requirements and claim steps. Item pages calculate campaign status from the date; a past campaign is not a current unlock.

The mobile-GWENT Roach promotion stopped accepting new redemptions on December 31, 2023. Previously redeemed rewards have different eligibility from new claims. Console spawning is not redemption.

When the location is unknown

Not yet classified means we have no confirmed acquisition method recorded. It does not mean unobtainable. Loot-table evidence can narrow the kind of source without proving an exact chest or guaranteed drop.

For a target item, consult the relevant quest, bestiary entry or map. Keep quest items until their quest is resolved; selling or spawning a similarly named item does not necessarily advance the quest.
